Hengrave Hall Suffolk
Suffolk Wedding Venue

Hengrave Hall, your beautiful luxury wedding venue in Suffolk
On a breezy March day I visited historic Hengrave Hall in Suffolk, a beautiful destination wedding venue. I was meeting the gorgeous couple whose wedding ceremony I would be officiating later in the year.
The Spring sunshine peeped through the clouds illuminating the majestic views. The dappled light, through the mature trees, from a beautiful blue sky gave the surrounding countryside a wonderful glow.
A character-filled vision
This luxury wedding venue in the heart of the English countryside provides couples with a wonderful, character-filled vision for their special day.
The grounds are expansive and the driveway up to the main gates is lined with grand, mature trees. Even before you arrive at the main gates, as you sweep left along the driveway, you catch sight of the main Hall in all its glory. This is a true gem in the county’s crown.

Suffolk
Suffolk is a ceremonial county in the East of England, in the area of East Anglia, full of history and beauty. It is bordered to the north by Norfolk with Cambridgeshire and Essex to the west and South. Its sea coast is one of the most beautiful in the country with the stunning towns of Aldeburgh and Southwold amongst the many that grace its shores.
The history of Hengrave Hall
Couples choosing this venue, whether they are from the county itself or travelling in from further afield, will love the backdrop it offers for their very special day. Hengrave Hall is a Grade 1 listed Tudor mansion dating back to 1525. It is situated just 3 miles from the town of Bury St Edmunds, itself a stunning market town full of historical significance. There is so much to see and do here for your guests who might decide to linger a little longer to savour all the county has to offer.
St John Lateran church, situated in the grounds, is the most beautiful backdrop to any important life occasion. Intimate yet light and airy, the stunning stained-glass windows, heraldry and beautiful stonework immerse you in the history that surrounds you.

Your unique ceremony
With me as your celebrant, your unique, fully bespoke ceremony can be held within the Hall itself or in the chapel in the grounds.
There is no need for a registrar to attend Hengrave Hall on your wedding day. As long as you legalise your marriage separately, your wedding ceremony can take place on any day you choose. Your ceremony will be fully personalised to highlight the joy you and your partner feel on this very special day. With both of you looking and feeling your very best, your unique ceremony, built around you, will bring all of your guests together in love.
